I've hit a bit of a slump with the horrible weather the past 3 weeks or so, does not feel like summer in the slightest. Hopefully some better days are coming so i can get out and get a few shots here and there.

Expect a continued flow of photos being posted, but not as much as I have been in the past month or so. I most likely will be going through those some more and getting rid of photos that just are not up to par.

Its unfortunate that some of the recent ones have been slept on so much, I dont think they are getting the exposure that they deserve and only seem to be viewed within the first few seconds of being posted. But thats life. Toodles for now.

Shortly I will be reaching 50 pictures of the Macro Series. The Initial purpose of the collection, was to simply catalog the local population of insects. That is, just get a snapshot of each different species that I encountered. But, there is more to a picture then the subject, so for those insects that I could be patient with, I was able to focus more on the overall compositions, of the surroundings,camera angles, etc and thus produced a more appealing picture. With the collection I already have, I can now be a little bit more rigorous with the quality of pictures that is posted. So , hopefully you will see a much high quality product in the future.

So far, the submissions i have made have all used natural light.
After a bit of reading, I have learned that , for some macro photography the use of a flash is encouraged.
Not only will it allow for more intricate details to be seen, but i will allow me to better capture those little critters that are scurrying , flying , etc.

I will experiment with this technique with my new submissions.

I have a bunch of new macros on the way,
and I am doing my best to improve upon each submission.
Looking to keep the subjects diverse while trying different techniques.
Keep in mind all of the latest pictures have been taking all within a few square meters of my backyard. I hope to get a few more locations in order to have a better selection of insects.

After far too long , i have finally found the time to work on my passions.
